It Ain't Me, Babe

Go ’way from my window
Leave at your own chosen speed
I’m not the one you want, babe
I’m not the one you need
You say you’re lookin’ for someone
Never weak but always strong
To protect you an’ defend you
Whether you are right or wrong
Someone to open each and every door
But it ain’t me, babe
No, no, no, it ain’t me, babe
It ain’t me you’re lookin’ for, babe

Go lightly from the ledge, babe
Go lightly on the ground

I’m not the one you want, babe
I will only let you down
You say you’re lookin’ for someone
Who will promise never to part
Someone to close his eyes for you
Someone to close his heart
Someone who will die for you an’ more
But it ain’t me, babe
No, no, no, it ain’t me, babe
It ain’t me you’re lookin’ for, babe

Go melt back into the night, babe
Everything inside is made of stone
There’s nothing in here moving
An’ anyway I’m not alone
You say you’re lookin' for someone
Who’ll pick you up each time you fall
To gather flowers constantly
An’ to come each time you call
A lover for your life an’ nothing more
But it ain’t me, babe
No, no, no, it ain’t me, babe

Andika's Visit to Hong Kong

Last week Andika visiting HK for about 5 days. I knew him from a friend of mine, Bram, that joining the same photography club with Andika in Jakarta.

I was very happy during the week because at least I have a friend to share in Indonesian way.. hehe.. And I always laugh every time I memorizing all the times of last week..

Well, we can say that I was a really bad HK guide for him.. haha.. Every time he asked me about how to go where, I always need a lot of time to think and I always need several calls to give the right direction.. haha.. I even couldn't recognize that one of his lunch was pork and he almost eat it! Also luckily he wasn't mad at all when we were lost because I forgot how to go to Temple Street.. :D :D :D

He was a very great survivor indeed, he always able to find the way out every time he found a trouble.. Saluutee!! :)

Thanks Andika for your coming and sharing time with me. It was nice spending time with you here. Yes, we should meet again in the future because I promised to give something back to you.. :P

Creating E-Learning Course

These days in my office we are very busy on planning to create several E-learning courses with different topics. Regarding with that plan, we also busy to find training provider that could train me (as it is one of my duty and responsibility to create a good one :D) on how to create a very good e-learning course that able to fulfilling the learner's needs in my company.

By any chance, during my research time on finding the training provider for me, I found several links that help me a lot on giving very useful informations about creating the e-learning course:
  • The Rapid E-Learning Blog that shares practical tips and tricks to help us become rapid e-learning pro. It is hosted by Tom Kuhlmann, who has over 15 years of hands-on experience in the training industry and currently runs the community at Articulate.
  • Another interesting blog is by Cathy Moore that very direct and straight forward on writing her ideas about e-learning course making.

Well, have to learn, learn, and learn more about this topics.. Keep Striving for Excellence!! (Ups, jargon aiesec values-nya keluar.. hehe.. :P)

Winter is Coming to Town!

Winter is coming! And I'm having my first winter experience here... :D

People in Hong Kong are really excited because of winter is coming!! Everyday I heard people having exciting discussion about "things to buy" for winter.. Everyday everyone told me that I should go for shopping and I just don't have any idea about what to buy.. I have visited many shops, stores, and some markets in Hong Kong.. but still don't have any idea about what to buy.. too many things too choose.. too many shops offered different things..

In Indonesia, I don't need to think about the fashion changes for summer, autumn, or winter.. Our clothes can be used for the whole year because we only have 2 seasons: summer and monsoon! Yup, as simple as that! All the Indonesian clothes apply to all seasons there..

It's interesting to see how people really give more attention to the fashion.. Even I saw my host family very busy on packing up their summer's clothes and unpack their winter's clothes 'plus' bought and preparing some most update fashions for winter this year..

Well, being a good observer is most enjoyable position for me right now.. And I wish I have more ideas about what to do for winter.. They said that this year will be the coldest winter ever.. weew! brrrr!! hehe..

Mid-Autumn Festival in HK

These several days were very tiring day. My office have their training for all of our employees in Generali Asia, Generali Hong Kong Branch, and Generali Employee Benefit (GEB). We divided all of those employees became 8 training sessions. And for each session is attended by mixed participants for Management Structure until receptionist. Well, quite impressed on how this company really appreciate their employees and give a lot of effort to make their people as their most important asset to be the best one among the others. :)

So far we already finished with 2 sessions and we will have 6 more training sessions for the rest of Generali's employees. It's quite tiring but I really enjoy it and feel exciting about it.. Just feel that I have a lot of spirit to do anything for my departments. I do Love what I'm doing now! :)

And these are the pictures that I took from training room during break lunch. Just realize that sometimes this view able to relaxing my mind during tough day..

Today is national holiday for Mid-Autumn Festival. In this holiday usually Hong Kong people celebrating the Mid-Autumn with gathered with family and having the mooncakes. Usually there are also a lot of Lantern Festival in the night before the National Holiday of Mid-Autumn Festival.

Actually last night I was planning to see the Lantern Festival and The Dragon Fire Dance at Victoria Park with JJ, my flatmate. He usually back to work very late. But until at 9:30 pm, I wasn't saw him back home (usually he back home at 11 pm or 12 pm :D). I was a bit dissapointed because of that. But I realize that JJ might be so busy as usual, so he couldn't make it. Then I went by my self to the Victoria Park and sadly I was late so I couldn't see the Dragon Fire Dance. So full of people, and I was to small to be able to see the dance from behind and there were too many smokes from the dragon fire. So then I was just hanging around over there and following the origami lesson, saw the lantern festival, and some other Chinese Show Dance at other part of Victoria Park.

Well, now I could hear that JJ already woke up. Seems like he got bad flu.. He's working to hard if I can tell u something about him. Well, get more rest and wish u get better soon JJ! :(

Activating My Visa

Hello dear blog,

Today was very exciting day.. My visa got approved yesterday.. So finally it got approved after waiting for 2 weeks.. I'm really excited about that..

Today I went to the immigration with Daphne to take my visa. Then Daphne assisted my to take ferry to Macau so I can activating my visa when I'm entering HK again. Daphne is really nice and we had a lot of interesting talks.. She's so friendly and I'm happy that she told me that there will Mandarin and Cantonese course that gonna be run by aiesec members.. That's really good news for me because in the next 2 or 3 months I planned to take those course in HK.

Well, not much that I can tell u about Macau.. I just entered Macau then directly going back to HK soon after arrived in Macau. And when I entered HK again, I got my visa activated! This is something that really make me so happy today.

My Eid Mubarak Celebration in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is raining every day.. So every time I went out somewhere I always got wet no matter how hard I protecting my self with my umbrella.. hehe..

Yesterday I was attending the celebration of Eid Mubarak (Moslem New Year) in Causeway Bay district. This party was held by organization named Sekar Bumi. The member of this organization are the Indonesian House Maid in Hong Kong and I found that they are so talented and amazing. The activities of this organization included dance (modern and traditional dance) and journalism. For dance activities they had won a lot of championship in Hong Kong. And for journalism sector they already have their regular magazine. And a lot of them already launched their own book and became a good motivator in Indonesia. They inspire me a lot.. From them I can see that status (of house maid) never be their obstacle on reaching their dreams.. From them I understand that everybody is someone.. Everybody already have their own talent and it's depend on how we can motivate our self to reach our own achievement. And from them I learn that status never be an obstacle to make a good friend.. :)

The eid mubarak celebration was nice.. After 2 weeks missing Indonesian foods, I can tasted Nasi Kuning, Ayam Kecap, Es Dawet, Nastar and all about Indonesia was there.. I feel home that time.. It was one of my happiness that I can celebrate the Eid Mubarak in Indonesian way.. SO really thanks to Mbak-mbak di sini.. :)

After 13 days in Hong Kong

Hello dear blog,

It's been a very long time I'm not blogging again..

Well, life is always goes on and I never expected before that now I'm in Hong Kong. Just like a big sweet surprise for my life. Everything was running so fast and it feels like a dream that I can be here in Hong Kong and having my dream job as Learning and Development Staff in Generali Asia.

Today is my 13th day in HK.. Sometimes I feel very sad because I should wait too long for my visa getting approve by the HK Immigration. Even now I still haven't sure yet when I will get my visa. The law in HK quite strict, so if I haven't get my visa it means I can't go work to my office.. I really sad that I spent my 13 days in HK just with hanging around with nothing special to do.. In the beginning I was convincing my self that everything gonna be okay, but today I feel a bit stressful because of this.. I need to go to work to make my brain keep working.. :D

And today is also the eid mubarak celebration, the new year of moslem people.. If I knew that everything going to be like this, I would like to spend more time with my family and celebrate this special moment together with all people that I love in Indonesia.. I also really sad that for the whole day I couldn't reach my family by phone just to say happy eid mubarak to them.. I really wanna cry and screaming because of that.. *lebay to the max* hehe.. :D

I think today I became much more sensitive than usual..Feel really sad and wanna cry the whole day..

Then suddenly, I remember my new friend, Kevin from Canada, and I called him whether he has time to listen to me.. Fortunately he still in HK and wanna give sometimes to meet up. He is old enough to be my friend so actually I should call him with "uncle".. hehe.. Kevin took me to Tsim Sha Tsui then we went for dinner and after that went to the ferry star.. the place is quite nice and I feel not lonely and sad anymore because of him.. We had a lot of discussion about my today's feeling, Hong Kong, Indonesian house maid, etc.. well, at least I can see new places of Hong Kong and feel better because of having a very good friend like Kevin.. :)

Hmmm.. I wish everything gonna be alrite.. I really worried with my visa.. it takes longer more than I expected before..

Well, let's always hope the best and positive thinking.. and keep fighting!!

"Imperfect Hand" Day

My finger got injured yesterday..

In the beginning I just felt that's gonna be okay until I saw the blood always came out from my finger and just like won't stop. I feel like I'm gonna die because of loosing too many bloods.. I've tried to wash my finger in the stream of the water but the blood still won't stop came out from my finger.. then I pushed the injured part to stop the streaming of the blood.. and it was work out.. I put some medicine on it and wrap it with bandage. This morning I was shocked when I opened the bandage I saw my finger became so pale and wrinkled.. I guess it was because the bandage was too tight so the bloodstream couldn't go to the injured part.. Then I was too afraid to do anything with my finger..

In the next 30 mins, suddenly I saw bloods on the floor and my cupboard.. When I saw my finger I got panicking because the bloods came out again and streaming over like really won't stop.. Then I just cleaned it, and push some cottons softly with my other finger on it...

This condition make me hard to wear my clothes, I couldn't brought my own work bag, even it was hard for me to use my cellphone..

This condition reminds me to be more grateful because God gave me a normal hand with 5 fingers in each hand. I've just experienced how hard my life without normal hand, I've learn that even when only 1 finger got injured, I couldn't use my hand perfectly.. so I need to be more careful with the whole body that God have given to me..and importantly to be more aware to those who are disabled since they were born..

xoxo

Is there any perfect parents in this world?

Last weekend I was home again.. These time I often spending my weekend at home according to my father's plan to join another acceleration of Police academic.. We are still waiting the result whether he success on passing the test or not..

I was quite happy because recently my family able to be a happy family.. At least we are able to understand each other, receive the strengths and weaknesses of each person and support each other. So recently we are trying to give support to my father to keep his spirit ON!

Until last night I feel a bit unhappy with what my parents did to my youngest brother, there was a little fight between my father and my youngest brother. I know he was really hurt by everything that my father have said to him.. I do understand his feeling last night even when I am with my other brother try to cheer him up and relieving his heart,I think it's just not enough to make him back to 'normal' again as our lovely monkey kid.. :D My father break my brother's heart again and again..I do know how it feels because I was in the same situation like him when I was young..

So what we should do if we don't have perfect parents?

But I believe there is no perfect parents in this world.. Everyone is learning to be someone.. My heart often said that good parents have to do that or to do this just like I am the one who know how to handle my kids perfectly.. But I guess I won't understand everything about how to be a good parents until I am experiencing my self to be a mom for my kid someday in the future..Just try to understand them even when understanding is not enough, at least I'm trying to be a good daughter for them.. And at least there is still a chance for everyone in my family to learn more about living a life as the whole family..

Happiness always there for us and never move everywhere... Let's reach it and place it in our family! :)

Being Positive

Just realized how bad what I've did to work mate today..
I think I need to be more aware with everything and should always remind my self to have positive mind and behavior..

When my work mate being so negative, I shouldn't going with his flow.. When I'm being negative back to him, it may caused hurt him.. I feel sorry for that..
No matter what happen, I should say everything in positive words..

I have read some resourceful articles about being positive.. It's not about how you hide your feeling when you found troubles with polite norms as the reason.. it's not about how you should express your feeling extremely when you feel disturbed by other's negative behavior.. It's a matter of how you communicate what you feeling nicely in positive words, you will feel relieve because you communicate your feeling with less caused of hurting each other and hope it can be an encouragement for each other to be a better person.

Well, will learn more to be able to do that! Good luck Titah!! :)

26th Birthday

Monday, April 12th, 2010 at 14:00

Today is my birthday as a 26th years old woman..
I feel special because many of my friends give their time to say their attention to me through Facebook, twitter, text messages, email, and etc...
So bless to live surrounding the people that care and loving me..

In my 26th years of life, I still have a lot of things to achieve..
I need to give more courage to my passion..

For my mom and my dad,
Aku minta maaf jika aku pernah mengecewakan hatimu

Will always love you, Mom and Dad! :)

The History of "Indonesia" name

One of my neighbors is a nurse. And now she is continuing her study for being professional nurse. One time she asked me to help her to write her task about our country history and culture. After that I got inspiration to write my own about Indonesia, my country where I’m living now and spend almost my entire life in this land. And I wish this will give me more inspiration to give more positive impacts to my beloved country and I can introduce more about Indonesia to others.

As we know, Indonesia is the biggest Island Country in the world that located in South East Asia, between Asia and Australia Lands and between Pacific Ocean and India Ocean. Because of Indonesia located between two Lands and two Oceans, so it’s called “Nusantara” (Kepulauan Antara or Islands in between).

And this time I want to write more about the history of Indonesia name, about where it came from and who gave Indonesia as our country name. After reading my father’s collection books and some resources from internet, finally, I found some interesting knowledge about where “Indonesia” came from.

In 1850, people from England named Earl called the citizens of “Indian Archipelago or Malayan Archipelago” with “INDU-NESIONS or Malayanesions”. In the same year, other people from England named Logan changed Indian Archipelago or Indunesions became INDONESIA to make it more applicable with Polinesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia language. For our information, Indonesian ancient came from Yunan, Vietnam. And they moved from Yunan to the south to Malayan Archipelago then finally arrived in Indonesian Islands. Indonesian people have the same basic characteristics and have almost same culture with Polinesian, Melanesian, and Micronesian people and gathered as Austronesian (Oceania) race.

Years later “Indonesia” word can be found in a book with the title “Indonesien” that published in 1884 by Germany people named Bastian.

In The Netherlands Kingdom Era of Indonesia, in a legal way Indonesia called as “Nederlands Oost Indie” (Hindia Belanda). And there were another nick names for Indonesia like “De Oost Indische Archipel” (Kepulauan Hindia Timur/ East India Islands), “Insulinde” (name that given by Multatuli), and “Nusantara” (Kepulauan Antara or Islands in between).

And when we started to have national movements to fighting for our independence day, our people starting to love “Indonesia” as a name for our beloved country and this name was introduced by young people at that time. Then as we know, “Indonesia” word first stated here in October 28th, 1928 in “Youth Promises” (“Sumpah Pemuda”..hehehe..). In Youth Promises we stated that we are one united in one nation: Indonesia and we are one united in one language: Bahasa Indonesia. And today we celebrate “Youth Promises” Day.. So, Happy Youth Promises’ Day, my beloved Indonesia!!!

Ok, that is about the history of where Indonesia name came from. Oh ya, based on Greek language, Indonesia came from 2 words that are “Indos” and “Nesos”. “Indos” means “India”. And “nesos” means “Islands”. So, Indonesia has a meaning: India Islands or Islands that located in India area.

That’s all what I know about the history of Indonesia name. I hope I've done it well.. hehehe.. It’s very interesting and useful for me and hope it will be useful for you too!

Missing My AIESEC Life!

What would you do if you feel something wrong with your current life?
What would you do if you feel not enjoying your daily routine?
What would you do when you found that you do something that you don't like?

What would you do then?

Been thinking about all this feeling
I miss the exciting feeling when I'm doing my job..
I wanna have the moment that I ever had in AIESEC
I miss the excitement when I was doing all my role in AIESEC
I miss every single feeling, every spirit, and every passion that I ever had in AIESEC

What I should do to enjoy everything that I have currently...
What I should do?

Everyday I need to push my self so hard to do everything as best as I can..
Just don't like the feeling that I have during the days..

Look back or Look Forward?

This morning I woke up very late. It was 03.20.. And I need to go back to Surabaya..
I was in a rush until then I got economic bus that took me to Surabaya.. There was no seat available for me.. So I need to stand up all the way to Surabaya..

when I stand up, I just look back.. I saw the road that my bus already passing through.. I saw the dark behind.. and I saw the lights behind..
Just thinking how my life will be if I just look behind like what I'm doing now..What happen if I'm focusing my self always to look back on my past and just see all the things that just happen behind..and never move my neck to look forward..

If I think about my past, I have so much pain there, but I have so much happiness also..Nothing will change about my past.. my past will always just about my past.. only learning that I can take if I move my neck to look forward, so I can see more possibilities.. and use all the life learning to find better possibilities.. better possibilities to be much more happier.. I know it won't be that easy to get the happiness that we want, but at least we believe there always be happiness for us, and at least we're trying our best to reach it..That's life.. It won't be a life if we don't know what we wanna with our life..and I think that is the art of life, if we struggling for something that we know we have to reach it..
